What to Expect from Our Drug Detox Program

When entering into Pine Tree Recovery Center’s drug detox program, you or your loved one can expect to be treated with nothing but respect and compassion. Depending on the type of drug that was being abused and the severity of abuse, the duration of drug detox typically lasts from between three days and one full week. However, we never release a client into the next appropriate level of clinical care unless all of his or her withdrawal symptoms have been effectively eradicated. We understand that the drug detox program is different for everyone. For this reason, we offer the most individualized detox services available throughout the state of Maine. We utilize a combination of proven medical methods, including Medication Assisted Treatment, as well as numerous therapeutically-based and holistic treatment methods in order to provide thoroughly integrated care.

How to be Successful in Drug Detox

We understand that committing to a medically monitored drug detox program can be somewhat overwhelming. We ensure that the combination of effective treatment methods we provide make the withdrawal period as comfortable and short-lived as possible. In order to be successful in our drug detox program, we encourage our clients to work closely with the case managers they are assigned during their initial evaluation. Case managers work alongside the clinical team in developing a personalized and long-term treatment plan for each client, one that typically includes an immediate transition into an inpatient treatment center. It is important to recognize and understand that medically monitored detox is only the very first stage in every long-term program of drug addiction recovery. In order to maintain sobriety, each individual client must commit to a continuing program of clinical care.
