Does Pine Tree Recovery Center Accept Humana Health Insurance?

Yes. Although the limits of each individual’s coverage will vary. Variables include your policy’s deductible, co-pay and co-insurance amounts, your past history of treatment for drug or alcohol abuse, and the type of plan you have, be it HMO or PPO, for example. Your Human insurance may also include Humana Behavioral Health coverage, which provides confidential support for a wide range of mental health and substance abuse concerns. If your plan indeed includes mental health or substance abuse coverage, the limits on that coverage can be no less favorable than limits for medical or surgical benefits, according to the federal Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008.

Will Humana Cover the Entirety of my Treatment?

As one of the nation’s largest health care providers, Humana covers 13 million Americans in all 50 states and is accepted widely. Your Humana policy may cover some or all of the costs associated with detoxification treatment and related medications, as well as some or all of the cost of therapeutic services as an inpatient or outpatient client. These services may include group and personal therapy, family therapy, and other aftercare programs.

The limits of your coverage are affected first and foremost by your specific plan. If your plan was purchased through the Health Insurance Marketplace, it will be categorized as bronze, silver, gold or platinum. Typically, bronze level plans have high deductibles, and cover approximately 60% of total medical care costs. On the opposite end of the spectrum, platinum level plans have low deductibles, and may cover up to 90% of medical care costs. Marketplace plans include Humana Behavioral Health, while employer based plans may or may not.

Humana also offers a wide range of both HMO and PPO health insurance plans. If your plan is a Health Maintenance Organization Plan, you insurance will be maximized when you receive care at an in-network facility. If your plan is a Preferred Provider Organization plan, you may have access to a wider range of facilities, doctors, and care providers. Lesser known plans include Exclusive Provider Organizations, or EMO policies, which operate similar to an HMO, and HDHP or High Deductible Health Plans, which operate similar to an HMO.
